I was telling a friend about how I migrated over to Claude. She said she couldn't move to a different AI because Chat knows all about her business, voice, position, history, etc.
I saw red flags flying everywhere - I told her she had a MASSIVE risk right there....what if ChatGPT crashed? What if it lost all her history? What if she lost access and couldn't restore it? What if ChatGPT closed down and everything disappeared?
I was asking her all the questions that Johnathan highlighted as risks to any business that relies on AI tools.
I explained my command centre setup with all the documents and architecture that underpin my whole business - that it's portable and I can put it into any AI tool and keep going if I need to.
She recognised the risk she was carrying and that a backup was needed "just in case".
So I created a prompt chain for her - one that helps someone who's history and business EVERYTHING sits within ChatGPT - I didn't know if she used one long chat, a series of chats, a project or customGPT so all of that exploration is built into the prompt chain.
The result is a "Business Knowledge Backup" document and I'm pretty darned proud I'm able to help a friend in a really practical way.
My next step is to encourage her to create her own AI Command Centre and steer her towards to training to do that.
